Police in Bang Bo district of Samut Prakarn, Thailand has
arrested a 31-year-old man and his father, 52, for allegedly raping
their daughter/granddaughter, 10.
Mother of the primary school girl reported the case to the
police on May 4th and the father identified as Nirut was immediately
arrested.
On Saturday, May 12, Klong Dan police arrested the
grandfather Worot, on a warrant while he was working on traffic duties
of a Civil.
He vehemently denied the charge that he raped his granddaughter as he was taken into custody.
The ten year old with her mother told reporters how she was
raped by her grandfather in the middle of the day one Thursday. She
said that he threatened to kill her if she told anyone.
When her father came home he also forced her to have sex
with him. He was allegedly caught in the act of raping her on the floor
by the mother who then went to police.
The child is with relatives as the authorities prepare to take her into care.
Both father and grandfather are being held in jail.
