Actress Kathy Griffin has apologized for posting a photo of President Trump's severed head on social media after she received heavy backlash from fans and celebrities- including Chelsea Clinton, CNN's Anderson Cooper, former Governor, Mitt Romney and a host of others.  Even the Secret Service  suggested she may be investigated over the shoot. The controversial comedian tweeted 'I am sorry. I went too far. I was wrong', she also posted a video promising to remove the offending image. But the apology was not enough to stop an army of critics, both Trump supporters and Democrats from attacking Griffin on social media for the outrageous stunt. Her long-time New Years Eve co-host Anderson Cooper said he was 'appalled' by the photo shoot, which he described as 'clearly disgusting and completely inappropriate.' The Australian Government has revealed that convicted paedophiles would be denied passports in a bid to protect children from being abused outside its country. The proposal, under a "world-first" plan proposed by the government, will be introduced to the parliament soon and would prohibit registered sex offenders from traveling overseas. BBC report that the Justice Minister Michael Keenan said it would affect about 20,000 offenders who had completed punishments but remained under monitoring by authorities. 'Sex offenders would be able to apply for passports if they were no longer on the register. No country has ever taken such decisive and strong action to stop its citizens from going overseas, often to vulnerable countries, to abuse kids,' Mr. Keenan said. Caitlyn Jenner is reportedly planning to adopt a child in a bid to fill the void left by her strained relationship with her daughters, Kendall and Kylie. Radar earlier reported that the parent-of-six has grappled with becoming a mum before but has now made up her mind. This is clearly not the kind of news alot of fans want to hear but Arsenal boss, Arsene Wenger has agreed to a new two-year contract, extending his 21-year reign at the club.    Wenger and club owner Stan Kroenke met on Monday to determine the Frenchman's future, with the decision relayed to directors at a board meeting today.  Arsenal are planning to make an official announcement today. The Gunners were fifth in the Premier League this season, the first time they have finished outside the top four since the Frenchman joined in 1996.

He was interviewed by radio host, Barnett who asked how much Labour’s plan for universal free childcare would cost and the Labour leader couldn't answer. His initial response was, “It will cost…a lot to do that…”. then the question was repeated again and he said: “I’ll give you the figure in a moment.” But Barnett was relentless, saying: “You’re logging into your iPad. You’ve announced a major policy and you don’t know how much it’ll cost?” Corbyn eventually pleaded: “Can we come back to that in a moment?”

A group of women residing in Lagos, have petitioned the state house of Assembly over the continued harassment faced by women in the state from male traders at most Lagos markets, particularly Balogun and Tejuosho market.  The petition was submitted yesterday May 30th. Part of the petition reads: "We regret to say the harassment being meted out to women at these markets had been a thing of concern both in the past and present times. There continues to be reports from women about how men from the market scene harass women who go shopping in these markets. These experiences leave a bad taste in the psyche of the victims. It makes shopping in Lagos market unpleasant and unsafe for women.  Women find it so much embarrassing to find men(traders) attempting to or holding their waists, attempting to touch their breast whistling or speaking obscenities at them".

A 19-year-old woman has been sentenced to death by stoning for being raped by her cousin at gunpoint. The woman said she was sleeping at her family home in Rajanpur, in the country's central Punjab province, when her cousin attacked her. She reported the crime to the local tribal court called panchayat but she was told she intentionally seduced her cousin. The panchayat, which included the alleged rapist's father, then found her guilty of adultery and declared her an adulteress. She was sentenced to death by stoning or to be sold off, according to the Hindustan Times. The council at the tribal court also decided that the alleged rapist was to walk free. The convicted woman and her father went to the police the day following the trial and the police have now launched an official investigation and issued an arrest warrant for the members of the tribal council. Dogs are known as man's best friend but sometimes things go horribly wrong. A 3-week-old Michigan baby died after one of her family's dogs bit her on the head when she was left unattended with them  on Thursday . Susannah Jean Murray was alone in a bouncy for five minutes inside her Michigan home with three pit bulls serving as her only companions. When after five minutes of being alone, a caretaker checked on her, the woman noticed the infant bleeding from a severe head injury and also saw that one of the dogs had blood around its mouth. Baby Murray was taken to Helen DeVos Children's Hospital where she underwent nearly seven hours of surgery but she did not make it. She died around  2 a.m.  the following morning. Sgt. Rumours making the rounds have it that Ryan Seacrest is furious his American Idol co-host Katy Perry will take home a fatter paycheck than he will in her first season on the show. Ryan has been the host of the  popular series since its launch back in 2002, and while he reportedly earns around $10 million per season, Katy Perry's $25 million offer puts him in the shade. Sources say things are so bad, Ryan is considering quitting the show. Manuel Noriega, the former Panamanian notorious dictator known as 'CIA's man in Panama who spied for the United State before his drug trafficking ties led to his ouster in 1989 in what was then the largest American military action since the Vietnam War, has died, at the age of 83. President Juan Carlos Varela of Panama announced Mr. Noriega’s death on Twitter early  Tuesday  morning.   Mr. Varela’s post read, “The death of Manuel A. Noriega closes a chapter in our history; his daughters and his relatives deserve to bury him in peace.” According to a  government official who spoke on condition of anonymity said that Mr. Noriega who had been put into an induced coma in March after undergoing brain surgery died around  11 p.m.   Monday  at Santo Tomás Hospital in Panama City. A 33-year-old female zookeeper was mauled to death by a tiger she loved during a 'freak accident' at a British Zoo on Monday morning. This led to total panic and the evacuation of tourists. The victim has now been identified as Rosa King, who served as the zoo's carnivore keeper.  According to the reports of Pete Davis who witnessed the incident, King was attacked when she rushed into the tiger enclosure to help a colleague but the tiger turned on her and mauled her to death while her colleagues tried unsuccessfully to distract the big cat with buckets of meat.  There are reports that King had worked at the zoo for about 14 years and really loved that tiger. A relative of the zookeeper told The Sun that King loved the animals and would sometimes walk in the cheetah cage and play football with them. Just three months into his job, White House communications director Mike Dubke has resigned. He stepped down a day before Trump embarked on his first foreign trip but kept the resignation away from the Public until today. He however continued to come to work at the White House and his official leave date has not been set.   According to a reports, Mike Dubke submitted his resignation on May 18, 2017 and offered to keep his post until Trump concluded his first foreign trip. Kellyanne Conway also confirmed the resignation in an interview with Fox where she said: "What I will say is that he has expressed his desire to leave the White House and made very clear that he would see through the President's international trip". Speaking to CNN, Dubke said "It has been a privilege to serve this president". A nursing assistant intentionally broke his 98-year-old patient's leg before she died while undergoing surgery to fix it, police say. Hakim Ogunkunle, 43, is facing aggravated battery charges for allegedly injuring his patient, Edna Warren, while she was under his care on Tuesday, at the Newnan Health and Rehabilitation in Georgia. Warren was rushed to the Piedmont Newnan Hospital to have emergency surgery, but died during the procedure. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation believes Ogunkunle caused Warren's injuries because of a mismatch between the details of his testimony and the severity of her injuries. 'He gave a preliminary statement about what occurred and it did not match the severity of the injury,' GBI spokesman Bahan Rich said. Tiger Woods has denied that alcohol led to his arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence. The 41-year-old golfer has insisted that an "unexpected reaction" to prescription drugs was why he was arrested in Florida on Monday morning. The 14-time major champion said in a statement that alcohol was not involved, but admitted: "I didn't realise the mix of medications had affected me so strongly." Woods added that he understood the severity of what he did and takes full responsibility for his actions. According to jail records, the golfing legend was picked up by police in the town of Jupiter and released four hours later.

A boy hanged himself in his bedroom when he feared he would get a 'red' mark against his name for forgetting to take his satchel to school. Tyrese Glasgow, 12, returned to his home in Mossley, Greater Manchester, after realising on the school run that he did not have his text books with him. But when he got back home, Tyrese - who 'hated getting into trouble -discovered he had misplaced his door key and was unable to get into the property. When he eventually got into the house, Tyrese ran upstairs into his bedroom. When he did not turn up for lessons, the school rang his mother, who found her son hanging from his bedroom door.
