UK Labour leader, Jeremy Corbyn forgets how much his childcare plan costs and the interviewer had no mercy on him
It's election season in the UK and Labour leader, Jeremy Corbyn who is contesting against Theresa May come June 8 was on BBC Radio recently where he fumbled on a question. He was interviewed by radio host, Barnett who asked how much Labour’s plan for universal free childcare would cost and the Labour leader couldn't answer.
His initial response was, “It will cost…a lot to do that…”. then the question was repeated again and he said: “I’ll give you the figure in a moment.”
But Barnett was relentless, saying: “You’re logging into your iPad. You’ve announced a major policy and you don’t know how much it’ll cost?”
Corbyn eventually pleaded: “Can we come back to that in a moment?”
