Shocking! See moment toddler climbs out of window onto balcony nine storeys up

Terrifying moment toddler climbs out of window onto balcony nine storeys up

A toddler was caught on camera scaling a tower block after escaping through a 9th-floor window in a residential building in Brazil.

In a video shared online, the boy who is believed to be aged between three and four, was seen walking confidently along a windowsill after scaling the window. A worker noticed this from her office located in front of the residential building in Goiania, central west Brazil and filmed it.

The woman, who preferred not to be named, recounted how she saw the child climb out of the bedroom window at around 6pm on Tuesday. She said the toddler acted as if it was the "most normal thing to do". The child’s 100ft antics continued for around 10 minutes until an adult appeared on the balcony and took him down.

After being reprimanded by the adult and carried inside, the child appeared again outside the window minutes later, while another child inside the room tried to climb out to copy.
The terrified worker said to Anhanguera TV: "I was beside myself with worry and will never forget the panic I felt watching this scene unfold before my eyes. It’s hard to see with the naked eye, but I realised the window has got a protective security screen over it and this acted as a safety net. But the boy treated the window sill as it was a play area and slid the window frame back and forth as part of his game. Although the security mesh was there it could easily have pulled away from the wall and I can’t bear to think what would have happened next."

The office worker asked a colleague to run to the building to alert the caretaker and the residents in the apartment about what the child was up to.
The concerned eye-witness said: "I was watching all the time and I must have held my breath for the duration the child was on the window’s edge. I couldn’t believe how calm the mum was when she saw him do it again. It was as if it was a routine stunt and she was used to it. She clearly told him off but that didn’t seem to make much of a difference."

Martin Okoko, 31, a Nigerian national and a 45-year-old Cameroonian national organised bogus weddings in an attempt to by-pass immigration rules. The marriages between Hungarians, Nigerians and Cameroonians took place in Gretna and Leicester between 2007 and 2012. Odume also took part in a fake marriage of his own in order to gain residency in the UK. Sarah Knight, prosecuting, told Leicester Crown Court the pair were caught following an inquiry by Immigration Enforcement Criminal Investigations officers, which began when intelligence was received that Okoko was arranging sham marriages from a shop he ran in Woodgate, Leicester.  There were also separate reports from registrars in Gretna of suspicious marriages involving individuals from the Leicester area.
